Your Wake and Bake Routine Could Change Forever!

Cannabis pairing with food, wine and coffee have become ever so popular but what if someone told you that drinking coffee could cancel the effects of cannabis?

So what does coffee have to do with cannabis? New studies suggest that your morning cup of joe causes a drop in the levels of metabolites ā€” found in the endocannabinoid system ā€” the body’s system for responding to marijuana. Levels decrease in people who drink between four and eight cups of coffee a day according to the Journal of Internal Medicine.

Endocannabinoids are molecules that bind to cannabinoid receptors, which are found all over the nervous system, as well as in immune and endocrine tissue. The body makes its own endocannabinoids, but it also responds to foreign cannabinoids found in foods we eat and yes Cannabis!

Coffee suppresses the endocannabinoid chemicals that using cannabis boosts.

That would suggest that coffee might generate the opposite effects as cannabis on the endocannabinoid system.

Share your experience! Have you noticed a change in the effects of cannabis with your daily coffee intake?
